I Woke up a few minutes before the alarm rang, and I was so ready to start the day for the very first sunlight in Pacitan. On the way to the sunrise place, I made a quick stop to fill up the gas for the scooter that I rented for my main transportation exploring those amazing places in the most west part of East Java.
The first beach that I visited was Teleng Ria Beach, the nearest one from the downtown Pacitan which has a fascinating view when the sun gradually rises up. It’s even more mesmerizing when the sunlight touches the big splash of the wave since it’s the southern coast. I was drowned into the moment until I noticed that I still had plenty of places that I should go to.
I rode again my IDR 60k/day rented scooter heading to the east part of Pacitan. The journey to the second beach was hypnotizing, in the middle of my riding I often spotted the breath-taking landscape, the wide-open Indian Ocean looked so astonishing on the right side, and turned me to stop the engine to enjoy a little time watching this satisfying view. It took me 45 minutes and I arrived on the empty beach, the sea breeze felt so refreshing under the coconut trees, the white sand all over the places just completed this spot. People call it Soge Beach, just a piece of a spot to chill and relax.
An hour just went away and I got the scooter turned on and went back to the town center direction and went through it heading to Punung area. Buyutan Beach was the third beach that I went to, this beach has a spectacular view, the blue color of the water combined with the white sparkling sand looked so contrast and pleasant. Especially when I saw it from the top of the cliff where I parked the scooter. Just couldn’t take any longer, I just went down and explored this wide enough beach. I had so much fun until I found the sun was already above me, got myself some shade and ordered a fresh young coconut from the locals to cool down the day.
It didn’t take any longer after I finished my fresh coconut, I continued my journey to the next stop. Just next to Buyutan Beach, it took 15 minutes and I could enjoy the next spot where there is a waterfall flowing down straight to the beach, it’s so unique. I was totally excited to be at this place. Local said Banyu Tibo came from the word Banyu means Water while Tibo means Fall, so it’s literally how it looks.
Before the sun was getting low, I continued my journey to the next beach that has been the icon and most touristic in Pacitan. I rode the scooter for almost an hour through the bumpy yet extreme road, chalky and some parts were so steep, just typical roads in Pacitan. I arrived at Klayar Beach and I found this place was quite packed with the local visitors. I had to pay the entrance fee for IDR 10K before entering the area. Although it’s kinda crowded, this beach has its own charm, from the interesting formation of the limestone that slightly looked like the typical places on the Mediterranean coast.
I saw the sun was getting lover towards the horizon, I was rushed to go to the last stop for the sunset. And the bumpy road was still continued until I found a really nice and again empty one called Srau. I just parked the scooter, had myself seated and enjoyed the sunset until it burned the sky. Once in a while, I just took some shots with my camera that I brought, it was like a beautiful closing of the long day in Pacitan. What an unforgettable experience indeed to be able to explore the edge of Pacitan.
